AI as an accessibility tool, not a content machine

Hi, Reader!

If you've been side-eyeing the flood of "just let AI run your whole business/write your posts/create your newsletter" advice lately, I'm as over it as you are. It's why so many long-time creators and people that we've followed for years now all sound the same or their voices have changed completely for robotic sales pitches.

For me, AI isn't something to take over things for me, but more as a thinking partner and an accessibility tool, never as a replacement for my own judgment or voice. I have ADHD and Autism and so I use it to help me prioritize my work, act as a non-social-equity-draining sounding board to sharpen and challenge my thinking, so you get things that have a better depth of thinking behind it than just what can be traditionally Googled (which really just gives you an AI overview anyway...)

The same article that I wrote on blocking AI scrapers and trainers from your content got me invited to join the AI Operator panel in few weeks because I shared how AI is an accessibility tool for me in that article. It's one panel of five being hosted by Dr. Destini Copp, Aug 10-14. Here's the schedule so you can choose which panels are right for you (even if it's not mine!)

  • Monday, 12pm EDT - The Flops Panel
  • Tuesday, 12pm EDT - The Offer Evolution Panel
  • Wednesday, 12pm EDT - The List & Email Panel
  • Thursday, 12pm EDT - The AI Operator Panel (where I'll be in the hot seat)
  • Friday, 12pm EDT - The Business Model Panel

Each day a different group of business owners gets on Zoom and talks candidly about what's actually working and what isn't. No slides, no scripts, no highlight reel of testimonials to pitch you something. The kind of conversations that usually happen between biz besties or deep in masterminds or group coaching calls.

I'm on the AI Operator panel, Thursday, August 13 at 12pm EDT. It's the only panel on AI all week, and I want to bring a more human-centric voice to that conversation about thoughtful use of AI in our lives and businesses.

I'll be talking about my own AI systems including a platform agnostic engagement guide that teaches the AI how to actually work with me, so it supports my thinking instead of flattening it. I use it to talk through ideas when they're live, to handle research, and to run workflows/reminders like the YouTube skill stack I built for my channel. What I won't do is hand it my voice. You've likely noticed how many people suddenly sound identical online, so you know why that matters to me.

If AI feels like a lot right now, this is the panel to come skeptical to. Bring your hardest questions, the panels are better when the audience pushes.

Every panel is free to watch live at 12pm EDT, August 10 to 14. There's a paid VIP option if you want full access to catch all five on your own time, but watching live is free. Grab your spot here:

Hi, Reader! If your feed looked like mine last week, you saw some version of "Claude is watermarking its text now," followed by a lot of speculation, a round of "I told you so" from folks who've been wary of AI all along, an equal round of "But the ideas are mine!" from the other direction, and a few people announcing they were switching tools. Keep in mind that social is always going to amplify the extremes on both sides in any situation. That's what gets engagement and keeps eyeballs on...

Hi, Reader! If I asked you right now where your last five to ten leads came from, what would you actually say? (Seriously, reply and let me know) For most service providers, it's some version of "I think Instagram," "maybe it was a referral," or "someone probably saw my newsletter." That's not tracking you can trust — it's a hedged bet you're staking your business on, masquerading as an answer. My latest video is about closing that gap. It walks through UTM parameters — the small tags you add...

Hi, Reader!I'm on in a few hours. The AI Operator panel goes live today, Thursday, at 12pm EDT, and this will be my last check-in for this round. (I've got some other events lined up, more news on that soon!) If you're registered for Closed Door Talks, the earlier panels are already sitting in your private podcast feed, free through August 31. Worth a look if any of these names ring a bell: Monday's Flops Panel - Sage Grayson, Jen Liddy, Braden Drake, Rosemary Dede, Theresa Heath-Wareing,...
